Canada Green Building Council

Sustainability
Ventana is committed to sustainable buildings and building practices. We use the Canada Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) program to help guide
pre-construction and construction processes, and deliver green buildings for our clients.

We have made a concerted effort to position ourselves at the forefront of LEED principles and implementation to ensure that Ventana delivers the highest level of service to our clients in all areas of green building design and construction.

Ventana’s LEED Accredited Professionals (APs) and Green Associates are able to provide clients with information about their options for implementing green elements into all phases of design and construction, as well as information on the ways in which these decisions affect project cost and schedule.

We don’t rely on CGBC or the LEED program to do the right thing, though. Ventana believes in environmental responsibility for all of our projects, even if they aren’t LEED certified. We have set our own site erosion sediment and control guidelines, waste recycling guidelines, low VOC guidelines and indoor air quality guidelines for every job site.

Not only are we doing the right thing for the environment, we’re ensuring that our staff and sub-trades are familiar with environmentally responsible construction principles and are able to confidently implement LEED certification requirements and processes.
